There have been a number of exciting improvements and landscape enhancements this spring and summer at our beach park.

New paver footrests for all 7 beachfront benches have been installed, primarily through a generous donation by Park Shore resident, Michael Kilbourn.

All park benches along with the checkerboard table and chair set have been refurnished and painted.

A new paver walkway from the parking lot driveway to restroom building has been installed.

The Raymond Lutgert sculpture “Inspiration”, a primary feature at the park has been cleaned and polished.

In May, the Kurt M. Lutgert memorial butterfly garden was planted. Design assistance was made through Landert Landscape Design. The garden features pollinator, Florida native, and nectar plants. A dedication event will be scheduled this fall.

A sizable area of much needed turf grass has recently been planted to replace a weed infested section of the lawn.

All trees and palms, including eight (8) Seagrape trees, three (3) Banyan trees, 90 Sabal Palms and one (1)1 Hong Kong Orchid tree, were trimmed in June to further enhance and maintain the entire park area.
