It has been a year of challenges to restore our beach park following the inundation of our park with a large volume of sand thanks to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. For those of us who were in town to observe the damage, we wondered how best to restore our park with a mind toward resilience and the acceptance that Mother Nature has her own ideas about what we need to be prepared to deal with going forward. We consulted top coastal land design professionals and coastal engineers as we carefully mapped out a plan for our park. The initial goal was to give us a beautiful, usable beach park that members could be proud of while we await the possible changes that may be coming to the promenade. The result has been widely praised by our members for its natural beauty, including a new appreciation for our group of cabbage palms that provide shade while enjoying the sand and beach. Members love the new beach! The efforts of Collier County have enhanced things as well. The beach renourishment and the new dune plantings have both created a beautiful beachscape.

Now it is time to focus on 2026, and the continued efforts to provide us with a resilient beach park. Park Shore Association membership renewals are now being accepted, and we are pleased to announce no increase in membership annual dues. Our fee structure for an annual membership for 2026 remains at $300.

The board carefully considered our storm fund reserves and capital fund reserves and did elect to increase our initiation fees for new members to $1000. It is also important for budgeting that renewals are made by December 31st. For this reason, we did increase the late renewal fee to $100. Any renewal made after December 31st will require payment of the late fee.

Renewing your membership is easily done by using our online renewal portal. Simply go to our website www.parkshoreassociation.com and login to your account with your email address and password. Click on the Membership tab and then click on “Renew” from the drop-down menu and follow the directions.

As always, contributions to the Beach Park Fund are welcomed. It you would like to assist in our ongoing recovery effort, please consider making a voluntary contribution over and above your annual dues. You may include this amount with your online payment.

We look forward to seeing you all again!
