Community Participation Drives Vision for a Resilient and Vibrant Naples

On November 13, Naples residents came together for a Comprehensive Plan Workshop, an important milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to update its strategic vision for the future. The workshops provided an open forum where community members could actively discuss and provide feedback on key priorities for Naples’ growth and development.

Focusing on Resiliency, Character, and Sustainability

The primary focus of these workshops was to chart actionable updates that will help implement the City’s long-term vision. Central themes included strengthening Naples’ resiliency against environmental and economic challenges, preserving the cherished small-town character that defines the community, and advancing Naples’ goal to become the “Green Jewel of Southwest Florida.”

Next Steps: Public Input Still Needed

The feedback gathered from the November 13 workshops will help shape a set of recommendations for updating the Comprehensive Plan. Early next year, the City of Naples will host additional public workshops to present these recommendations and invite further community input before any Draft Plan amendments are finalized. This ongoing engagement ensures that the voices of residents continue to guide the city’s path forward.
